This course introduces students to the spatial, legal, economic, social and political structures that created apartheid in South Africa, and to the factors that led to the collapse of the racist order. We will examine the many forms of Black oppression and, also, the various forms of resistance to apartheid. Some of the themes we will explore include industrialization and the formation of the Black working classes; the constructions of race, ethnicities, and sexualities; land alienation and rural struggles; township poverty and violence; Black education; the African National Congress; and the Black Consciousness Movement.

Apexer is a street artist who creates colorful, spray-painted murals around the world. Using a visual foundation based in graffiti art and Chinese calligraphy, Apexer abstracts letterforms to create complex, dynamic compositions for his street art projects. Often creating artworks that communicate the vibe of the neighborhood where they are on view, Apexer’s painted gestures are accessible to a wide audience, and are constantly expanding upon the core element of his work: the letters of his nickname.

Given that aphasia can have such a variety of deficits and severities, it is crucial to meet the needs of the client. Therefore, this research will investigate the following research question: How can a clinician effectively structure group therapy for clients with different severities of aphasia to ensure benefit for all members and improvement in quality of life?

La Teoría electromagnética proporciona la base para todos los circuitos de microondas que hizo posible los grandes avances logrados por el campo de microondas. Es importante entender que la teoría de campo de microondas es sólo una parte de la teoría del campo electromagnético en general.
