to show that language brokering is a common practice that takes place in many schools around the world;
to promote a deeper understanding of what language brokering usually implies for young people;
to present some situations that teachers can analyze and discuss with their students from multiple perspectives as part of reflective practice;
to appreciate multilingualism and raise awareness among young people who translate and interpret in schools;
to provide young language brokers with tools and strategies to express how they feel about language brokering, and thus to take care of emotional health.
The videogame is multilingual and can be played in English, Catalan, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Children and young people play an important role in migratory processes because they may act as links between their families, local communities and their school. Schooling and linguistic immersion in the host society can help young people learn the official language(s) of their new country faster than their parents or other adults. When they broker in a school context, they bring linguistic diversity to the school and display truly multilingual and multicultural skills that are part of their daily life. This Teacher's Book aims to help you and your students explore some of the complexity involved in young people taking on such roles in modern societies. Therefore, the aim of this Teacher's Book is twofold: (a) to celebrate multilingualism and raise awareness of young people translating and interpreting in schools, an activity also known as child language brokering; and (b) to provide a resource containing background information and interactive activities aimed at giving teachers tools for a deeper understanding of what language brokering by young people usually entails, so that you can then pass it on to your students. E·ChinesePlus, an initiative by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), is a comprehensive Moodle-based open access platform aimed at enhancing Chinese as a Second Language (L2) acquisition. The platform offers an extensive array of digital activities designed for various levels (A1, A2, B1, B2 of the CEFR) and linguistic skills, including not only listening, reading, speaking, character recognition and writing, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, but also skills such as culture and translation, for which digital resources can be quite limited. Its user-friendly interface enables learners to customize their educational journey, selecting activities that match their proficiency and learning goals.

A cornerstone of e·ChinesePlus is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creation of specific types of activities. Moreover, activities allowing for detailed feedback offer in-depth insights into learners' performance, fostering understanding and self-improvement.

Nowadays, the use of technologies is deeply embedded in the teaching and learning of foreign languages. Therefore, students and teachers are compelled to continuously update their digital skills. Moreover, the need for online teaching has been spurred by the COVID pandemics, which has posed new challenges in this regard. When searching for online tools, one of the main difficulties is the vast amount and disparity of resources available to both teachers and students, who often feel overwhelmed due to the lack of time or assessment criteria. In such cases, the potential of existing resources remains largely unexplored. In this context, we developed an online open access database of digital resources for Teaching and Learning Chinese as a Foreign Language. It includes a collection of metadata to satisfy users with different profiles and needs. In sum, we set up a multilingual (Catalan, Spanish, English and Chinese) and dynamic website, which can be useful for both teachers and learners who, in turn, will be able to enrich it through different types of feedback.
