On a hike with her children, Mrs. Thompson noticed the reflection of the top of a pine tree in a puddle in the path. Her son, who is almost a foot taller than she is, could not see the top of the tree in the puddle until he moved. Why did her son need to move to see the top of the tree? Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling utilizing SketchUp Pro. Students first begin by observing the most unique building structures in the world. Then learn new skills and techniques through hands-on tutorials to learn how to create 3D models in SketchUp. Once armed with the basics, students will be tasked with creating a 3D replica of a building of their choice or one from their imagination.
