This training manual has been developed to guide Teacher Trainers/etutors in training teachers to integrate ICT tools in their teaching and learning process. The design of manual is aligned to the National Curriculum which outlines the learning objectives for example, knowledge and understanding, skills and attitudes the teachers need to be equipped with in preparation for integrating ICTs in schools. The training manual is arranged into sessions and each session has a topic, session objectives, content, and activities. For example, in the introduction, the manual contains the resources, methodologies, and assessment. There are references such as open education resources which are free and other links that the master trainers can refer to for additional information.

Pourquoi se soucier de l'accessibilité de l'information ?
Les personnes handicapées peuvent rencontrer des difficultés pour lire les documents que vous avez créés. De nombreux documents contiennent des obstacles cachés qui peuvent parfois empêcher ou restreindre l'accès aux utilisateurs handicapés, en particulier aux personnes aveugles, malvoyantes, daltoniennes, souffrant de troubles de la lecture et de certaines déficiences motrices.
Les personnes handicapées utilisent les documents numériques de différentes manières. Certaines d'entre elles peuvent vouloir les faire lire à haute voix à l'aide d'un logiciel de synthèse vocale, ou les lire sur des dispositifs de braille actualisable, tandis que d'autres peuvent vouloir grossir le texte et changer la couleur du premier plan et de l'arrière-plan pour l'adapter à leur déficience visuelle. Certains de vos lecteurs peuvent utiliser le clavier pour naviguer dans vos documents, tandis que d'autres peuvent utiliser le toucher, des commandes vocales, une souris modifiée, un stylet de tête ou même la technologie de suivi des yeux.

This course has been developed to support the training of teachers to integrate ICT into their teaching practices. The materials, guides and activities are strongly aligned with the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers (CFT).
While the course embraces the role ICT can bring to the classroom it is also not held prisoner by the need for high end or sophisticated technology platforms. The course can be deployed in areas of limited or no connectivity via CD ROM or memory stick as most of the resources have been previously downloaded and collected. There are also web and paper based versions of the lessons and guides.
This course uses materials that are Open Education Resources (OER) or free to use for educational purposes, allowing the use and distribution, and in some instances the repurposing of the materials, at no additional cost. (See the Open License tab for more information).
But most importantly we hope the lessons are fun and engaging enough to introduce new possibilities and refresh the participant's passion for teaching and learning.
