Este trabalho pretende funcionar como um guia de auxílio à pesquisa de elementos de média que constituam objetos de conhecimento com licenças abertas, permitindo a sua combinação e adaptação na a produção de Recursos Educacionais Abertos (REA).
Começa com uma introdução geral sobre os REA e os cinco princípios de abertura. Em seguida mostra a forma como devemos orientar a pesquisa de ficheiros com base nas suas licenças de modo a permitir a criação dum REA que respeite os cinco Rs.
Por último são explicados diferentes métodos de pesquisa de média com licenças abertas e indicados os principais repositórios onde podem ser encontrados, de acordo com a modalidade (imagem, áudio, vídeo, simulações e animações).

This module was developed at the School of Public Health, University for the Western Cape for the Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health which was offered as a distance learning module between 2001 and 2008. Health management is considered an important skill area for Public Health professionals. The module covers three key management areas: people management, planning and resource management. Through exploring these areas, the module aims to provide information and assistance at a practical level, continually referring the student to management issues within their own context.Ę As management is cross-cutting in relation to other Public Health fields, the student is also expected to relate much of the management study material to the contexts of the other Certificate modules.

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, #GoOpen held a public webinar titled, “How Open Educational Resources Can Support Digital Equity in Your State”.  The session dove into the benefits of OER for digital equity, including hearing the perspective of a state that has invested in OER to promote equity. Featuring Connecticut education leader Doug Casey, the session provided specific examples of how participants might take action in their states to craft Digital Equity Plans that can leverage OER to support equity and capitalize on improved digital infrastructure.

As Howard County Public School System advances its open educational resource (OER) adoption and implementation plan, ISKME is pleased to support this effort moving forward. ISKME brings a comprehensive OER toolset and immersive professional learning program to assist educators in enhancing their capacities to use, evaluate, curate, and create OER. Leveraging its teaching and learning network and digital library, OER Commons (oercommons.org) launched in 2007, ISKME advances collaboration and continuous improvement of high-quality curriculum.

This is the first of three custom module trainings that will provide participants with an introduction to OER practice and the value add, highlighting successful state and district use cases. Followed by a demonstration and discussion of how to navigate OER Commons and create collaborative workflows to identify resources, assess their quality using rubrics, and organize materials for use. Participants will get an opportunity to practice using OER tools and begin to design their plans for OER implementation, specific to their immediate OER needs. An important outcome for educators will be a shared understanding of OER practice and specific next steps for OER adoption in their work.

We have designed these modules to first spark the learner's interest in the topics covered and then dig deeper into the content through presentations, storytelling, and demonstrations of the tools. We will offer opportunities for learners to practice exploring the resources and tools, and reflect on how they might use them in their work.
