This Course Map draws on the work of Eric Dodson, Luciana Diniz, and Nanci Leiton in "Green Tea Intermediate English Communication" and Colleen Shields, Jen Sacklin, Maggie Mitteis, Dave Schenderlein, and Annick Todd in "LCC ESL College Transition Listening / Speaking." It includes a narrative overview, weekly objectives, and course objectives for each week as well as activities, scaffolding, deliverables, and feedback.

During the Spring 2020 semester, I taught this wonderful group of ESL learners in the classroom and on Zoom after the pandemic hit. This OER is a collection of resources, teaching ideas, and student artifacts about that experience. I hope it helps you. Created for Washtenaw Community College's low intermediate ESL students, this OER writing textbook covers writing sentences, summaries, opinions, and narratives, as well as improving spelling and grammar.

The Picture of Dorian Gray is a classic, and in this era of selfies and Instagram, the themes of beauty and image are particularly relevant. This reader was written for high-beginner/low-intermediate ESL students. Lines of text are numbered, so students and instructors can more easily locate words and phrases that are being discussed.  Definitions of more advanced vocabulary words are in the footnotes on the pages where the words are first used. These words are also listed alphabetically in the glossary at the back of the book. The worksheets include grammar review and speaking practice.
