    Overview

    Students will discuss and answer questions about their current living situations, as well as what their living expenses look like.

    Activity Information

    Description: Students will discuss and answer questions about their current living situations, as well as what their living expenses look like.

    Semantic Topics:  Expenses, Spesen, groceries, Lebensmittel, Bills, Rechnungen, Housing, Wohnen, Rent, Miete, Using question words, Verwendung von Fragewörtern, Future, Futur, Comparative Speech,  Vergleichende Rede

    Products:  Jamboard to draw out living situations.  Jamboard, um Lebenssituationen herauszuarbeiten.

    Practices: The use of space, paying expenses, decorating,  dream living situations, roommates in living settings.  Raumnutzung, Ausgaben bezahlen, Dekorieren, Wohnträume, Mitbewohner im Wohnumfeld.

    Perspectives:  Value of choice in how we live, who we live with, how we decorate.  Importance of paying living expenses.  Wert der Wahl, wie wir leben, mit wem wir leben, wie wir dekorieren. Bedeutung der Zahlung der Lebenshaltungskosten.

    Materials Needed:

    Warm-Up

    Discuss the Can-Do Statements with the students

    (5 minutes)

    1. Share the Jamboard link with the students in the Zoom chat.

    2. The students will have 5 minutes to draw a rough layout of their living situation.

    Discussion about  living situation and expenses.  Have the students ask each other the following questions.

    • Read Can-Do statements once more and have students evaluate
      their confidence.
