Language and communication are the foundations for all learning and social interaction. They relate to many other aspects of cognitive, physical and social development, beginning in infancy.

This early childhood learning trajectory looks at children’s progress in language and communication, to help you plan the next steps in their learning and development.

This Early Childhood Learning Trajectory video outlines children’s progress in language and communication. It can be used alongside the EYLF V2.0 assessment and planning cycle to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Inspired by the guidelines of the Universal Design for Learning (CAST, 2018), "Universal Latin Fables" wants to give the opportunity to discover Phaedrus' fables to as many students as possible. The web-site uses storytelling process based entirely on the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Not only does it make the reading process easier, but it also allows autism spectrum students to understand the fable on several levels.

AUTISM SPECTRUM
All the fables can be read using Alternative and Augmentative Communication and PECS symbols offered by SymWriter, specific for autistic people but usable by everyone.

VISUAL IMPAIRMENT
The "Listen" step can be useful to blind students. Furthermore, the website is responsive and the text is scalable.

HEARING IMPAIRMENT
The "Watch" and the "Read" step can be useful to deaf students.

The website is designed to be used by adults and teenagers or by children helped by a parent or a supporting teacher.

In this lesson, students will learn about how volcanoes and mountains affect weather. Includes video links, discussion, demonstration, and an additional activity.

Learn Arabic is a website that aims to teach Arabic via games and activities. Members can compete for top spots as they earn badges by completing lessons. The lessons start with the alphabet and all of its variations and move up through simple words and phrases. Plans are in the works to add more complicated lessons for intermediate and advanced learners. Lessons include interactive books, videos, games, vocabulary lists, and more depending on the lesson. Users can sign up for Arabic tips emailed to them. The site includes a blog as well.
