Este Guia de Princípios da Escola Sustentável tem por objetivo instrumentalizar e orientar gestores e a comunidade escolar, de forma compartilhada e conjunta, a detectarem nos respectivos domínios de sua instância escolar as adequações que se façam necessárias, de ordem física e também social e econômica, de forma que as ações de incrementos que desse instrumento se revertam favoreçam a transição das escolas para o conceito Escola Sustentável e, dessa forma, se alinhem à Educação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (EDS). Vem elencar 282 princípios balizadores acerca dos aspectos até hoje contemplados por autores atentos há décadas ao tema Escolas Sustentáveis, abrangentes o bastante para assegurar uma transição real para a EDS. Trata-se de um repertório reunido de forma inédita como forma de obter o estado da arte do que é possível chamar de Escola Sustentável e que vem contribuir para o alinhamento das escolas às agendas internacionais já criadas.

O presente produto trata do uso da língua brasileira de sinais para o ensino de ciências ambientais e promoção da inclusão em museus, com o objetivo de abordar quais são as possíveis contribuições para o processo de aprendizagem que um Guia Ilustrativo Bilingue traz para aos visitantes surdos do Museu Jari no Pará. No ensino para a comunidade surda existe uma infinidade de desafios, entre os quais destacam-se a escassez de materiais didáticos disponibilizados para o uso no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da temática ambiental local. O Guia Ilustrativo Bilíngue com conceitos das Ciências Ambientais presentes no Museu Jari localizado no distrito de Monte Dourado, Pará é a produção do material fundamenta-se em uma concepção de letramento bilíngue. Neste trabalho foram geradas quarenta e duas ilustrações criadas a partir de discussões com os especialistas da área e educandos, sendo doze ilustrações inéditas. Portanto esperemos que esse guia promova a inclusão e a equidade, a conservação do patrimônio histórico e a sensibilização da população acerca da preservação do espaço natural e do Museu Jari.

When the world is at our fingertips, the new generation of students appear to be more technology driven towards using the electronic devices in their daily life. The smartphones and smart electronic devices are fast improving with the advancement of the new generation of android devices with some devices are built specifically for Augmented Reality (AR). The 21st century learning approach advocates the integration of technology for more interactive teaching and learning activities. Thus, this research developed a mobile AR application which integrated the android-based application to assist the teaching and learning activities in University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). UMS students are required to take the English language courses from the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language Learning (CPKLL). However, the current challenges in the English language classrooms are students’ lack of interest in conventional teaching and learning activities and their limited attention span. In view of this, the gamification element is injected inside the classroom by utilising a creative approach to the existing conventional scavenger hunt game. The implementation of an android application with AR capability allows the students to play educational quizzes. The two-fold objectives of this project included: (1) developing an android-based fun quiz application with AR technology which was location-based so students could experience interactive learning environment; and (2) investigating the implementation of this mobile application during English lessons. Iterative methodology was employed in this research which comprised planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing phase, deployment and follows next iteration (if needed). The findings suggested that students were able to answer the AR quizzes at several locations around UMS and provided the lecturers with real time access to the results. It is hoped that the mobilised scavenger hunt application will provide more interactive and learning activities via gamification.
