- Learners will be able read and write part to part ratios.

 - Learners will be able to use part to part ratios to problem solve in a real-world activity.

Part to Part Ratios

Learners will be introduced to part to part ratios. Then, the learners will be able to choose from 3 activities to practice writing and using part to part ratios in real-world scenarios. They only have to complete one of the activities to move on to the next module.

Directions

Activity 1: Designing a Garden 

1. Start the lesson by reviewing the objectives  

2. Review the Part-to-Part Relationship definition  

3. Review Reading and Writing Part-to-Part Ratios  

4. Complete the Reading and Writing Part-to-Part Ratios activity asking students to provide the written and verbalized representation of each example 

5. Share correct responses to the above activity  

6. Move students into the real-life application of part-to-part ratios, Gardening  

7. Have the students use the grid to draw their garden

8. Ask students to complete Gardening Ratios Table 

9. Assess the responses to Gardening Ratios Table

9. If the learner is able to complete the activity correctly, move them to Module 3.

10. If the learner is unable to complete the activity successfully, present the remediation materials and allow them time to complete the activity again using the Reference Guide. They may also choose a different activity. 

Activity 2: Perfect Lemonade

1. Start the lesson by reviewing the objectives  

2. Review the Part-to-Part Relationship definition  

3. Review Reading and Writing Part-to-Part Ratios  

4. Complete the Reading and Writing Part-to-Part Ratios activity asking students to provide the written and verbalized representation of each example  

5. Share correct responses to the above activity 

6. Move students into the real-life application of part-to-part ratios, The Perfect Blend Lemonade  

7. Ask students to complete The Perfect Blend Lemonade Practice Writing Ratios Table 

8. Assess the responses to The Perfect Blend Lemonade Practice Writing Ratios Table
