Part to Whole Ratios
Learners will be introduced to part to whole ratios. Then, the learners will be able to choose from 2 activities to practice writing and using part to part ratios in real-world scenarios. They only have to complete one of the activities to move on to the next module.
Directions
Activity 1: Equal Hiring Practices
1. Start the lesson by reviewing the objectives
2. Review the Part-to-Whole Relationship definition
3. Review Reading and Writing Part-to-Whole Ratios
4. Complete the Reading and Writing Part-to-Whole Ratios activity asking students to provide the written and verbalized representation of each example
5. Share correct responses to the above activity
6. Move students into the real-life application of part-to-whole ratios, Hiring Practices
7. Ask students to complete Hiring Practices Ratios Tables
8. Assess the responses to Hiring Practices Ratios Tables

9. If the learner is able to complete the activity correctly, move them to Module 4.
10. If the learner is unable to complete the activity successfully, present the remediation materials and allow them time to complete the activity again using the Reference Guide. They may also choose a different activity.
