This is a collection of 900 boldly colored and graphically diverse posters produced as part of FDR's New Deal. These striking silkscreens, lithographs, and woodcuts were created to publicize health and safety programs; cultural programs including art exhibitions, theatrical, and musical performances; travel and tourism; educational programs; and community activities.

This lesson will be a real-world scenario-based reading module for Reading Scientific and Technical Text, for readers at level 7. Research shows that engaging students in self-assessment positively impacts language learning, motivation, and learner autonomy. To help World Language Educators accomplish this, the Nebraska Department of Education invited experienced world language teachers across the state to create student-friendly assessments in the form of can-do statements in the summer of 2022.  This document is a student-friendly self-assessment activity for _____ world language learners created based on the 2019 Nebraska World Language Standards. The language use described in all can-do statements is meant for the target language, except for the second for standard 3.1 and the first for standard 4.2.  It is recommended that word language teachers engage students with this document three times in an academic year: pre-course, mid-course, and post-course. Engaging students with this self-assessment activity will help students see growth over time and hopefully attribute growth to effective learning practices. This is a PowerPoint of common verbs used in the workplace and at home. It can be used for beginning level English language learners. Part 1 uses clip art of 16 verbs and part 2 uses Brendan Tuttle’s artistic illustrations of 28 verbs. The additional PowerPoint is a handout for students to write the verb under the picture and there is also a list of suggested activities for the teacher.

¡Contéctate! Intermediate Spanish II is a free, open educational resource Spanish textbook created for an Intermediate Spanish II course at Pacific University (Oregon). The book focuses on the continuing development of communication skills in Spanish while highlighting and encouraging student connections to each other, to their local communities and to the greater world. Activities are student-centered while also incorporating topics and texts useful for understanding several important contemporary issues in Spanish-speaking regions (Latin America, Spain and the United States) such as wellness, sustainability, and migration. The book’s pedagogy is inspired by and adheres to the most recent best practices guidelines published by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

This is only one of many versions of the Shanama, the great epic of Iran. STEAM stands for "Science & Technology interpreted through Engineering & the Arts, all based in Mathematical elements," and aims to bring FUNctional literacy to students. Founder/teacher Georgette Yakman describes how her immigrant grandparents, brother with Asperger syndrome, and artistic stepfather led her to bring Arts into STEM.

Students study the three main physical properties of leaves (shape, edge/margin and venation). Students will use the elements of art to describe and classify the observable properties of leaves. They will create an interpretive work of art that responds to these properties.
