The City of Cincinnati, Ohio converted twenty blocks into a festival of art and light, showcasing projection mapping along with a number of other emerging media art forms. The goal was to create a public event celebrating the arts, culture, and creativity of the city in an atmosphere that promoted audience interaction with dynamic art.      Many children’s nursery rhymes have interesting origins such as Here We Go Around the Mulberry Bush which originated in an exercise yard for female prisoners in Wakefield Prison in England or Ring Around the Rosie which refers to the Great Plague of 1665 ending with the line “Ashes, ashes, we all fall down” (supposedly everyone dies).   

This lesson will be turning heads and pages as students learn how to choose appropriate books for independent reading exercises and later evaluate their choices.

Neighborhood empowerment advocate and civil rights movement veteran Robert L. Woodson has developed ten principles for personal growth and community development. He has used these principles throughout his decades of working with organizations that seek to transform low-income communities from within. In this lesson, students will learn about these principles, discuss their importance, and imagine ways to apply them in their own lives and the life of their communities.

The Woodson Center's Black History and Excellence curriculum is based on the Woodson Principles and tells the stories of Black Americans whose tenacity and resilience enabled them to overcome adversity and make invaluable contributions to our country. It also teaches character and decision-making skills that equip students to take charge of their futures. These lessons in Black American excellence are free and publicly available for all.

In this lesson students examine workplace tasks and concepts in agriculture and expand their understanding of agriculture.

Ever since there have been babies, there has been a need to carry those babies. The cradleboard is art meets science and function for parents and children. This unique design was made for easy transport and care of a child.

Baby Proportions is an activity designed to challenge students to compare body measurement proportions of adults, students and infants. They then use these proportions to create a scale drawing of themselves and an infant enlarged to be their same height. The idea is to use real world measurements in practicing proportional relationship skills while creating an interesting image when finished.  

Students will learn the definition of words and then apply the definition to writing a complex complete sentence.  This can be done in any subject that requires vocabulary practice.

O Atlas Bacia Hidrográfica do Paraguaçu sob diferentes perspectivas, constitui um dos Produtos Técnicos Educacionais da dissertação intitulada “Percepções e mapeamento de conflitos socioambientais relativos à água nos limites da bacia hidrográfica do Paraguaçu”. The purpose of the Quality Indicators and Critical Components is to assist state and local education agencies, institutions of higher education and workforce development agencies with planning, implementing, and evaluating dynamic, coordinated systems for the timely provision of accessible educational materials and accessible technologies. Given the variability of policies and practices across these organizations, the Quality Indicators and Critical Components are designed to provide agencies with consistent goals and to promote discussion around multiple methods to achieve those goals.

Understanding the Patriot attitude toward the British monarchy is helpful in understanding the Founders' reluctance to have a strong executive under the Articles of Confederation as well as their desire to build in checks of executive power under the Constitution.
