This module is here to help you navigate the many resources that are available to you as a teacher! Using open education resources may be a bit confusing and overwhelming at first, but it's a rewarding experience! In fact, this module is using an OER resource through OER commons!

This worksheet provides guidance on searching for Open Educational Resources. Processes for finding OER are segmented into small sections allowing searchers to explore a variety of repositories and organize their research. Support staff can send the final sheet to faculty who will be easily able to evaluate the resources based on demonstrated research processes.

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, as part of Open Education Week, the #GoOpen Network hosted the webinar, "OER and Accessibility," featuring Cynthia Curry of the National Center on Accessible Educational Materials for Learning (AEM Center) at CAST, in conversation with Oregon Department of Education leaders, Vanessa Clark and Aujalee Moore, who are deeply engaged in this work with educators.

This lab manual is a series of illustrated, printed lab handouts for my neurophysiology course. It provides videos of procedures, color diagrams, large photographs, and links to supplementary layers of information that go far beyond what was feasible in a printed manual. Each lab module is self-contained and they are intended for use without restriction by colleagues at other colleges. I hope it will encourage others to take similar steps in their own courses, and I hope also that sharing these self-published materials will contribute to an increasing trend of sharing online resources within the neuroscience teaching community.

In 2017, Ke Xin created the HelpYourMath website and HelpYourMath OER YouTube channels. What started as a way to help Borough of Manhattan Community College(BMCC) students get the extra help they need in math, developed into what it is today.

HelpYourMath operates as a non-profit and donation-sponsored, free educational source also known as an Open Education Resources (OER). With support from the college and the exceptional work and dedication of volunteer professors, tutors, and students, we have been able to create full curriculums for various college mathematics courses. The OER team was established and continues to grow every year.

HelpYourMath is an entirely self-functioning open source content site and channel. Although HelpYourMath was initially made to tailor the needs of the BMCC math curriculum, we are prepared to help students around the world from all walks of life. Our OER team believes that sharing is caring, and we are delighted to work with you.
