"Part fascinating fact, part dazzling fiction, Zoot Suit is the blistering film adaptation of playwright Luis Valdez' critically acclaimed stage drama based on the 'zoot suit riots' that rocked 1940s Los Angeles." (youtube)Luis Valdez's play, Zoot Suit, was a product of it's time, but it also a product of the original time of the story. This means that it held relevance when Valdez wrote it, and it held relevance in relation to the original zoot suit riots that happened. This brings up the following questions:Is Zoot Suit relevant today? What would need to happen for Zoot Suit to be relevant only as a historical representation? Please write a 250 word response to each of these questions (500 words minium). Use the film/play as a reference, as well as supporting materials if appropriate.Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting are expected.

0.0 stars

The purpose of this activity is to inspire students to adopt structured methods when they explore and retrieve information. It is based on lab notebooking methods and on managing and documenting the flow of references in Zotero, a reference management software.

The first principle is based on a tree of collections to manage the references arriving in the Zotero library. Some basic methods are suggested and the students are invited to create their own. The second principle is based on standalone notes to document all the research process through online database, libraries and experts.

The Website disseminates the deliverables of the cLovid-project, a project funded by the ERASMUS+ grant program under grant no. 2020-1-DE01-KA226-HE-005813. It gives access to the digital content, digital tools and implementation scenarios for microscopic pathology teaching

The objective of the cLovid-project was to provide:
1) the technical conditions necessary to adapt flipped classroom scenarios with active and collaborative activities for microscopic pathology to contextual factors such as enforced social distancing (COVID-19 pandemic), limited campus facilities or the wish to offer distance learning to overcome difficulties with access to education imposed by geographical distance.
2) teaching material for training medical teachers in digital pedagogical competencies; (a) for flipped classroom courses with active and social activities in general; and (b) for supervising online scenarios for microscopic pathology teaching with task-based and collaborative learning activities in particular.
3) evaluations and research on pilot implementations of a methodological framework with a good-practice example of a flipped classroom course on microscopic pathology for undergraduate medical students. Here, both individual tasks and collaborative learning activities are fully online and supported by high quality digital content and tools.
