Digital Drama is a part of digital users experience, especially in the middle and high school years. In combination with Common Sense Media I have created a short lesson with reflection questions. The lesson is purposely short in order to engage students.

There are reflection questions at the end. The reflection questions should be answered individually and then small group discussion. I would ask each group to give a brief overview of their discussion.

It's important for students to stop and think before they act and this lesson may help them see how their actions can and do affect others.

The learner for this lesson is an adult in high school preparing to use persuasive techniques for the future. This is an English language arts lesson and the lesson introduces evidence as something that is necessary to support your claims within persuasive writing. Evidence helps demonstrate the relationship between ideas and words within the claim that should be the key ideas within the essay, passage, or to support a claim. Learners will practice using this evidence to support their claim about their topic, then they will find one piece of evidence from an article on that topic.

This module is thought of to be used by teachers and students. It's main area of concern is rotational motion and mass moment of inertia, two concepts which in my experience as a teacher, often makes students nervous due to the seemingly very abstract quantities involved in rotational motion. The goal of the following module is to bridge the gap between the students preliminary working knowledge in classical mechanics, while providing a hands-on approach to teaching the subject of the kinetics of rotating, solid objects. Learning ObjectivesIntroduce students to the fundamentals of the physics of rotating objects, with a suitable mix of theoretical and practical problem solving activites involving torque and mass moment of inertia.Allow students to relate their newfound understanding to real world situations where the theory allows students to analyse rotational motion in everyday situations as well as engineering applications and beyond.Enable the students to work through the concepts required before potentially proceeding with more advanced topics such as rotational energy and angular momentum. 

Smithsonian Magazine: This Was Life for Japanese-Americans During WWII
February 2017 marked the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066, a document that President Roosevelt signed in 1942, two months after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor. The order resulted in the imprisonment of 75,000 Americans of Japanese ancestry and 45,000 Japanese nationals in prison camps across the country, many being relocated far from home. Some 40 years later, the U.S. Congress formally recognized that the rights of the Japanese American community had been violated and President Reagan signed the Civil Liberties Act of 1988, providing an apology and restitution to the living Japanese Americans who were incarcerated during World War II.

This activity is about the study of planetary samples. Learners will use samples of crustal material to sort, classify, and make observations about an unknown planet. From their observations, students will interpret the geologic history of their mystery planet and make inferences about past life or the potential for life on the "Mystery" planet. The lesson models scientific inquiry using the 5E instructional model and includes teacher notes and vocabulary.

2nd grade studens will listen to the book "Shark Lady" during storytime. They will then head to the computer lab to complete the digital/research portion of the project. The project will finale with a paired share activity where students can exchange information and present their findings.
