This collection of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) interactive resources is a practical guide that teachers will find useful in helping students achieve curriculum expectations in STEM related courses, build their understanding of science and their ability to engage in science talk, offer explanations about natural phenomena, and develop digital literacy and a sense of global citizenship. The guide also provides instructional design considerations for developing active learning activities, pedagogical strategies, and sample activities.

The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 protects Australians from discrimination based on disability. A child with a disability is entitled by law to be provided with an education program that is appropriate for their development and academic needs. Under the Disability Standards for Education 2005 (‘the standards’), education providers are obligated to make reasonable adjustments, consult with children and their families, and eliminate harassment and victimisation. The standards place responsibility for family
engagement on services, educators and teachers. This supports the requirements to build partnerships with families set out in the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

This PowerPoint is a generic description of the Engineering Design Process that walks students through the 6 step process that works in a continual loop of defining the problem, generate concepts, develop a solution, construct and test a prototype, evaluate a solution, and present a solution. This PowerPoint offers stopping points to encourage question and answer sessions as well as discussion opportunities if teachers choose to relate it to a particular problem. It was originally posted and authored by Alexandrea Dunkelberger.

Engineering and Technology for the Better Good of Society PIT-OER is intended to train engineering technology students to leverage the power of select technologies aligned to the public interest applications and targeted public works institutions.This PIT-OER consists of four modules:Module 1: Project Management Methods with Applications to Public Works.Module 2: Technology and Ethics: “Are You Conflicted?”. Module 3: 3D Printing Applied to Everyday Public Interest and to Public Work Institutions.Module 4: How “Open” is Open Source Content: The Do’s and Don’t of Using Open Source Software, OSS. Each module is organized with lecture, assessment, and laboratory experiments. The modules are course materials for TECH-100, Introduction to Engineering and Technology, of Queensborough Community College.

This assignment allows students to analyze a bias by agreeing or disagreeing with a speaker. There is a provided podcast episode, but we encourage instructors to select their own in the realm of the course. 

Thank you for visiting our Tennessee Board of Regents OER Grant English 1020: Introduction to Literature course. The pilot launched in spring 2023. This Walters State Community College composition course focuses on reading and analyzing poetry, drama, and short stories.
